BIG 92.7 FM, Bangalore, after rigorous rounds of its on-air & on-ground auditions for the ‘Sing with Sonu’ contest, today unveiled Deepak Loknath as the finalist to be shortlisted from Bangalore. Deepak, who will now stand a chance to share the stage with India’s young legend Sonu Niigaam, was congratulated by none other Sonu Niigaam himself! He is one among the 5 finalists to be chosen across cities of Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore & Chandigarh, where the BEST talent will get the chance to win the coveted ‘Sing with Sonu’ contest! Deepak who received over 40% of total votes was selected amongst 5 contestants in Bangalore who showcased their singing skills through an on-ground audition on April 5, 2008. Deepak an ardent fan of Sonu Niigaam is a 19 yrs old doing his second year of BCA from National College, Bangalore. Yaseen Darbar (brother of noted music-director Ismail Darbar) will be the music trainer for these contestants.
‘SING with Sonu’, presented by BIG 92.7 FM across the cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata and Chandigarh is just the right pedestal for the talented singer to showcase their talent. Finalists from each city were selected after a stringent audition process, where the best 5 were selected from each city! ‘Sing with Sonu’ contest is scheduled to be held in each of the 5 cities between the April 16th and 20th.
