BIG 92.7 FM, India’s No1 FM station has emerged victorious at this year’s Big Bang 2008 Awards which concluded in Bangalore recently. The radio station won Gold & Silver in the Cinema and OOH category respectively which was entered by Mudra Radar.
BIG 92.7 FM won Gold for Best Media Innovation: “Are you in the spotlight” under Cinema category and Silver for Best Innovation: “Big Live” for the Out of Home category. This win gives a boost to Mudra Radar which has flawlessly executed these campaigns for BIG FM across the country.
The concept: of ‘Are you in the spotlight’:
How it works: a few seconds after the film interval, a spotlight sweeps across the auditorium, searching for one fortunate and lucky face. A voice over along with slide of ‘Ye Spotlight Jispe Giregi …Uski Life Banegi’ gets displayed on the screen, which creates great excitement and stir among the audiences in the theater. Once the winner is selected he/ she gets instant gratification with goody bags etc. from BIG 92.7 FM. A truly interactive session, this is a truly ‘Life Banao’ moment for the lucky winner.

The Advertising Club, Bangalore’s Awards for Excellence in Advertising and Media, Big Bang – 2008 event was held on 7 November at Palace Grounds. Initiated in 1987 for the Bangalore ad fraternity, the Big Bang Awards are now a national awards ceremony recognising creativity in all forms of advertising. This year over 30 agencies sent their entries for 54 categories which amounted to a total of about 450 entries. A panel of eminent judges from advertising, marketing and media background were involved in judging these entries.
This annual award has been gaining popularity over the years with the number of entries doubling each year with small and mid-sized agencies coming forward to participate. With the competition getting tougher, only the best stand a chance to win.

BIG 92.7 FM, India’s No.1 FM Station has exclusively partnered with ‘LOVE STORY 2050’, a futuristic sci-fi love story presented by ADLABS FILMS and BAWEJA Movies. A racy love story, the film marks the debut of Harman Baweja supported by Bollywood heartthrob Priyanka Chopra. Also starring in the film are Boman Irani and Archana Puran Singh among others. The film, which sees a world wide release on July 4th, would enthrall cine goers with visual effects no less than a Hollywood flick, specially designed by John Cox and Weta Workshop.
Harman Baweja was on BIG 92.7 FM’s Breakfast Show—Big Chai hosted by the very popular RJ Archana Jani in Mumbai on June 16th. To add to the zing, both Harman and Priyanka offered a complete treat to listeners, as they were heard for the first time ever on radio, through the day, answering questions from fans across the day on air. BIG 92.7 FM will be offering a great opportunity for the film to garner national-wide reach and popularity while connecting to fans across 35 cities of India.
June 24th premiered the interview with the Music Director, which put a beginning to a series of interviews with singers running into the 28th of June, again promising unmatched entertainment to listeners. This was followed by a playout of each song from the album exclusively for 7-10 days across all BIG 92.7 FM Stations, nationally.
Apart from the strategic music promotions, there were contests woven around the film and the final gratification would be an invitation to the exclusive BIG premier of ‘LOVE STORY 2050’ where listeners would get to watch the film with the star duo. The programming content would hover around futuristic developments of the country, witty predictions about the future involving a tete-a tete with the stars, coupled with interesting trivia from the film.

Synopsis-Love Story 2050

Boman Irani plays an eccentric scientist who has dedicated 15 years of his life into building a Time Machine. In the promos Boman is shown jubilating with his successful invention. The character played by Harman Baweja along with his girlfriend (Priyanka Chopra) sets out on a journey to the year 2050 through the time machine. Then, they land in a futuristic Mumbai having flying cars, holograms, robots and Indian ninjas, androids, and laser guns. The story moves further from there. The movie revolves around the invention of a time machine which allows the couple to time travel to know more about their life in the year 2050. Priyanka will play a double role in the movie. Both her characters are contrast of each other. One belongs to present and other to the future. Her first character is of a coy girl next door from the present whereas, the other one is of a bold and headstrong girl from the future.
